April 8, 2006:
Practicing What I Preach
By Joe
Zlomek
It’s time I practiced what I preach. JoeZlomek.com is the result.
I taught a day-long class last week (Tuesday, April 4, 2006), titled the “Real Estate Technology Survival Kit,” on behalf of
Polley Associates, the
Pennsylvania-based real estate education company for which I work as marketing director. During the class, I told real estate sales licensees and brokers about the value of personal marketing over the Internet. Part of their personal branding, I said, should include reserving a website domain name in one’s own name.
Because I also independently operate a sole proprietorship consulting company called
The Pottstown Wordworks, I have for years relied on its website as my primary point of Internet contact for the public.
But as I taught the Technology Kit, it occurred to me that registering JoeZlomek.com makes marketing sense for me as my own career evolves.
This website, launched April 7, 2006, is the result. I’m unsure – so far – just what it will contain or how I intend it to help you, my visitors. So please consider it a work in progress, because at this juncture that’s exactly what it is.
Welcome, and thanks for your patience.
