NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. (July 19, 2001) – Joseph M. Zlomek, who during the past 20 years has guided sales and marketing efforts for several highly successful companies, has been named marketing director of Polley Associates, Pennsylvania’s leading provider of real estate career education, company Education Director Hugo C.A. Weber Jr. announced.

Founded in 1971, Polley Associates has grown to become one of the largest and most successful real estate career schools in the United States. It offers courses at dozens of locations throughout the Commonwealth for real estate sales licensing, real estate broker licensing, state-mandated continuing education, certified appraisers, certified home inspectors, and professional designations such as the Accredited Buyer Representative and the Real Estate CyberSpecialist.

Zlomek previously was president of Pottstown Wordworks Inc., a privately held marketing communications company he founded in 1990. He also has served as publisher or general manager and chief operating officer of daily newspapers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Indiana, Massachusetts and New York.

Zlomek currently is president-elect of the Kiwanis Club of Pottstown, Pa.; serves on the Communications Committee of the United Way of Pottstown and the Upper Perkiomen Valley, the Steering Committee of the Montgomery County School-to-Work Coordinating Council, the Act 41 Committee of the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit, and the Technology Committee of the Pottsgrove School District; is a seminar leader and marketing advisor to start-up businesses for Pottstown Chapter 594 of SCORE; and is a member of the board of directors of the Pottsgrove Educational Foundation.

He is a certified trainer for Xerox Selling System III, and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Utica College of Syracuse University.
