POTTSTOWN PA – A free breakfast event to help inform local housing landlords of services and support options to work with tenants and offered within Montgomery County will be conducted Feb. 21 (2013; Thursday) from 8-10 a.m. by the Homeless Services Program Committee of the TriCounty Community Network at Zion United Church of Christ, 209 Chestnut St., the network said Tuesday (Feb. 5).
The meeting has been planned in partnership with the Residential Living Options and the county Housing Coalition. It hopes the event can provide more affordable units and assistance in caring for tenants to help keep them housed. Scheduled speakers include:
- District Justice Thomas Palladino, on avoiding the eviction process to save landlords time and effort;
- Lynda Haley, director of management at the Housing Authority, on partnerships between it and landlords;
- Russell Johnson, president and CEO of North Penn Community Health Foundation, on the link between maintaining health and maintaining housing; and
- Local landlords Debra Campbell and Brian Tate, who will share success stories about housing people with special needs.
